The world map is like in Fallout 2 for example, where you wander over a big map and sometimes you find locations which you can enter. This was clearly a labor of love for the developers and I had fun, even if at the end of the story I couldn't be a fun guy.ĪTOM RPG is like the old Fallout games 1 & 2 but has a lot quality of life improvements which make it more accessible.Ĭurrently playing this game on expert difficulty and yeah it is takes some effort, but is not impossible. Overall I enjoyed my time with the game and I may eventually pick up the DLC and give that a run. But that may be limited to my experience. I believe it was an attempt to make character build very important in a player's trek through the Wastes but optimizing for combat feels like a must. I also loved the sound profiles they did for the firearms, they have the kind of tactile audio to them that one would expect of the various types of guns being used.Īs for the drawbacks - I think the most noticeable drawback to me was the balancing of character stats and skills. I didn't feel at all annoyed by the music or felt that it was out of place. You aren't limited by areas that are based on level so in the early game you learn what you should avoid and what you can take on until you get better gear, get more levels, and have companions. Turn based combat that carries a high risk/high reward structure. I also loved how the devs got cheeky with the dialogue and poked at the question options you could ask NPCs. I loved how rumors you heard about in the game you could possibly find and interact with, and how those rumors would turn into rumors about you later. The story is great - the world you interact with feels immersive and alive. Here's my quick and dirty overlook of the game: I bought the game during a Christmas sale and it lingered untouched until I wanted to involve myself in a Fallout style game. Old-school RPGs will certainly run every single hour they spend on it.I hate to say that Atom RPG sat in my library far longer than it should have. The ATOM might play like “Russian Fallout” gameplay-wise with many layers containing much more tribute. This game has a multiple-choice feel like real unique NPCs. The Soviet Wasteland is friendly, dangerous and sometimes it’s all the same. This game was inspired by Fallout 1 and Fallout 2. Where mutated creatures savage the secrets of the military bunker. The gameplay on all sorts of the other survivors brave new from the dust of the old world. ![]() And provides unique gaming with new ways to solve the quests. The aim was to make a wasteland hero and powerful character with the creation tool. The destroying aimed at all that was left on Earth. It is one of the survivors to explore the wild world of Wasteland and earn a place under the sun. Atom RPG is the Soviet Union and was destroyed in mutual nuclear bombings.
